Not bad, but amateurish. Works in a pinch I guess. Instead try something like:

Idiot: WTB Black dye for 500 gold
You: Wow! 500? Ok cool! Sold!
(Idiot initiates trade session)
Idiot: You have to hit Submit so I can see it.
You: No way! you'll take my dye for free!!
(let this go back and forth a few times)
...
(finally you place a black dye in the window and)
(submit so he can drool on it, but immediately hit modify offer)
You: OK CAN YOU SEE IT NOW?
Idiot: No no, you messed up, submit it again.
...
etc.

You'd expect really good cussing after awhile, but usually they're so pissed by the time they figure it out, they just /ignore and leave. Some will never figure it out, thinking you're a total idiot... I'm assuming you can live with that.
